The Alpha Course
Alpha is an exciting journey exploring the meaning of life! It is a 12-week course consisting of a series of talks addressing key issues relating to the Christian faith. The course leader Pastor Justin Marsh would like to welcome you on behalf of the Alpha team, and trust that you will find this course enriching.
What is Alpha?
Looking for answers? The Alpha course is an opportunity for anyone to explore the Christian faith in a relaxed, non-threatening manner over twelve, thought-provoking weekly sessions. You're not on your own either. More than 2 million people worldwide have found it a worthwhile experience, completing the Alpha course in churches, homes, schools, universities and prisons. So join us on a journey of discovery. There's a course running at Renewal Christian Centre.
What does Alpha involve?
The Alpha Course consists of a series of talks addressing key issues relating to the Christian faith. The course is run like this:
- Supper: (7:00 pm) There is a light meal together at the beginning of each session which gives people a chance to get to know each other.
- Talk: (7:30 pm) After each talk we divide into small groups to discuss the topic of the evening, ask questions and express opinions.
- Small Groups: Listen, learn, discuss and discover and ask anything. Alpha is a place where no question is too simple or too hostile.
Who is Alpha for?
Alpha is for everyone, especially:Those wanting to investigate Christianity, New Christians, Newcomers to the church and those who want to brush up on the basics.
Where do I go?
Renewal runs the Alpha course in parallel at two locations. Both at Renewal Solihull, and also at our Lichfield Congregation. So you can attend the course at the location which is most convienient for you.
