We’re a large church - so it’s important to make sure that the needs of every individual are catered for in smaller groups.
For this reason, we have developed a number of different minstries.
Connect is a large ministry, made up of around 120 small groups, each with anything from 2 - 20 people as members. The principles of Connect are ‘Prayer, Share, Reach, Care’ and involve groups getting together at each other’s homes, or coffee shops, or at church to pray, to talk, to engage in activities for which they share a mutual enjoyment and to reach out to others who may wish to join the group.
Connect groups are diverse in their ‘theme’ - and as well as ‘family’ orientated groups, men’s groups, ladies’ groups, mixed groups and adult groups, you’ll also find groups themed on hobbies and activities, or set up to support people with specific issues or disabilities and their families. Each Connect group has a facilitator, who is responsible for ensuring the dates/times of meetings, but there is no actual ‘leader’. Connect groups have proven vital in meeting the needs of the individual - and we have seen many people comforted and supported by their group in times of illness or domestic difficulty. A ’spin-off’ from the main Connect ministry, Connect&Co is for everyone - even if they are already members or another Connect group. Connect&Co is about getting together in a social environment - whether you are single, married or a family, there are Connect&Co events to suit. From Bowling and Curry Nights, to Quiz Nights and Movie Nights - and even holidays, Connect&Co is a great opportunity to meet up with like-minded people and have some fun.
