The Phileo Trust
Caring for people with emotional or mental challenges.

One in four in the population will need some form of psychiatric or mental help in their lifetime. Pastor Dave feels deeply challenged by the Holy Spirit that we should provide help and support to meet the challenges of a frightened and confused community.

We have set up a working party of Christian Professionals who are discussing with the local Health Authorities and allied organisations, how we can fulfill our desire to establish, in stages, a community care centre to meet the needs of people with mental health issues including eating disorders and addictive behavioral life-impacting conditions.

Why Phileo?
People may ask “why the name Phileo Care Centre?” Phile is the Greek word for “Brotherly Love”, the love one has in providing security for each other. We believe any ministry or care action should come out of a genuine desire for compassion and value.

Can you help?
We are developing a database of those who may be able to serve this ministry. We particularly want to hear from those who have professional medical skills and qualifications, but there are other kinds of help and support needed (including those willing to be trained in certain aspects of care). Anyone with a heart wanting to reach out to those with mental health issues can be involved.
