Thailand
I visited Thailand in April 2008 and was present at the opening of the new Church in Kuraburi. That church was opened as a result of someone’s car breaking down outside a house in the village. The driver asked the owner of the house if she could wait inside while the breakdown truck came. As a result they became good friends and some months later the driver of the car was born again in the Church in Phuket. She went to tell her new friend about Jesus who as a result got born again and the result is we now have a church in her home.
In 2009 I had the privilege of returning to Kuraburi with the senior pastor Brian Burton together with Paul O’Connor from Renewal. It was so encouraging to see the church is continuing to grow.
We also visited a new church which has opened in a new village with the Urak Lawoi tribe. They were all dressed in Wolverhampton Wanderers football shirts. We were given several thousand after the tsunami and now they are the uniform for this tribe. These are sea gypsies who have nothing to fish with so we have since sent them the money to buy a boat.
When funds permit we want to purchase some more fishing equipment so come on you Wolves supporters, your team in Thailand needs your support
