Hi there, my name is Julia Davey - and I'm the Pastoral Deacon for Specialist Care, here at Renewal.
Our care of our congregation and local community is inclusive. To this end, we actively support those children and adults (and their families and carers) with additional needs. Our team of healthcare professionals, counsellors and support workers have developed programmes of support to work with people with a wide range of additional needs. This support works in a 'stream' throughout Church - our vision is that people should be supported to participate within the entire Church - services, teaching, activities and events - and that their additional needs are met to enable them to do this.
We offer friendship groups, support networks, practical and emotional support. We offer a children's 'sensory room' and play programme called 'Special Treasures' - see the children's section of this website for more details. We are here for both adults and children with additional needs, as well as their parents and carers.
