Bible Teaching

Introduction

  • For those studying by attendance: this will take place on Thursday evenings, plus Saturday seminars once a month (either 9.00 a.m. – 1.00 p.m. or 9.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m.). Teaching will be in the form of lectures with opportunities for students to ask questions.
  • Students will be issued with written notes.
  • The home study assignments for Diploma students will be multiple-choice questions and for the Advanced Diploma students, essays. The pass mark for each assignment on both the Diploma and Advanced Diploma course is 60%.

Objectives

  • To equip Christians by giving them comprehensive teaching on the Bible and its principles.
  • To train Christians to present the Gospel in ways that are both relevant and positive.
  • To release the potential within Christians by giving them the insight and encouragement they need to be more effective in the Kingdom of God.
  • To equip Christians to be prophetic and live in the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • To develop Christians for all levels of ministry in a local church.
  • To develop leaders in the fivefold ministry gifts.

In addition, all students will be required to do the Home Study course on “The Foundational Truths of the Bible”. This consists of 15 x 60-minute audiotapes with accompanying notes and homework assignment. This may be done at any time during the two years.

Outcomes

By the end of the two-year course, students should be able to:

  • Understand some of the key doctrines in the Christian faith.
  • Have a better knowledge of, and love for, the Bible & how to apply its principles to their own lives.
  • Better disciple others in the principles of God’s Word.
